About Me

I'm Anthony Rivera, an artist and educator passionate about fostering creativity and self-expression. My work primarily focuses on drawing, painting, and collage, with a strong influence from Post-Impressionism and Expressionism. I believe art is more than just technical skill, it's a way to think critically, process emotions, and explore new ideas.

Teaching Philosophy

I strive to create a welcoming, creative space where students feel excited to explore, experiment, and express themselves. Art isn't just about making something perfect, it's about thinking creatively, solving problems, and processing emotions in a personal way. My classroom is an inclusive, judgment-free zone where students of all backgrounds and skill levels are encouraged to be themselves.

I believe learning should be engaging, not monotonous. My goal is to foster an environment where students feel safe taking risks, knowing mistakes are part of the process. Beyond technical skills, I emphasize creative problem-solving that extends beyond the classroom. I encourage students to experiment with different techniques, mediums, and ideas to find their unique voice.

Teaching is a lifelong learning process. I model curiosity and growth, showing students that it's okay not to have all the answers right away. Ultimately, I want my classroom to be a place where students can step away from daily pressures, have fun, and create something meaningful.
